Frankness - Dedication – Purity
Argent, on a cardinal cross Gules a Fleur-de-lis Or
The cross is a reminder of the knight’s Coat of Arms that united the notion of service and dedication to the Christian spirituality. The cardinal cross symbolises the four sections of our movement, the four cardinal points of a compass and the four cardinal virtues: justice, prudence, temperance, and fortitude. It reminds to all the importance of openness to the world. The color Gules (red) of the cardinal cross symbolises dedication.
The fleur-de-lis, international scout symbol, chosen by B.P. because it pointed North on old maps, to remind scouts to give evidence to others of their triple promise.
The color of the fleur-de-lis Or (yellow) symbolises frankness.
The color Argent (white) symbolises purity.
